I am hoping to get advice that will simplify engine stripdown. This is one of the Japanes built "6E0" series units.

Unit was overheating and having checked the impeller see evidence in the impeller housing which suggests the cooling ports through the motor could be blocked.

I would like to separate the driveshaft housing assembly from the powerhead, without disrupting too many gaskets, so that I can assess. None of the manuals appear to include this information and whilst there are lots of boltheads & nuts visible, I can't believe they're all used to hold these two parts together!

Any advice based on experience or a helpful drawing would be greatly appreciated.
