mariner 40e ageing. gaps in records

i found the aging records but my number doesn't appear.
676BS 005936.
i need the age as im also in need of operating manuals, i had the link but lost it again and servicing docs so i can give it a once over before putting in the water.

Puzzled by the 'S' in the number

I reckon around 1978/79/80 ish

Look at the manual downloads at http://download.brunswick-marine.com/download/preparesearch?mod=4&lang=EN

Dont enter in a year but browse all outboard manuals.. take a look at any that look likely and hopefully you will find the right one. Tedious but I am sure it will be there somewhere

double checked a definitely an s right after the b and then a gap before the numbers
