Mariner 2.5 fuel problem

Hi All

I am hoping some of you helpful guys can throw some light onto my problem.
last year I had problems with the engine not revving properly, in fact the only way that it could be revved was with the choke, and this was on my rib in the water.
This says to me that the main jet is not working and yet after taking the carb apart many times, checking jets etc. cannot for the life of me find the reason!!!

Anyone any ideas....

You dont give the age or serial number or even say if its a 2 or 4 stroke.

I believe it is probably a rebadged Tohatsu

Soak in carb cleaner and blow out jets etc with an air line or gently clean with a soft copper wire.

New spark plugs often seem to cure problems diagnosed as carb problems!
