hi all
i am trying to revive an old Alden marine fax 4, question is what kind of antenna/ cable do i need for receiving weather faxes. it receives on HF 3 to 30 mhz i think. tks

I'd experiment with a long wire first.
If it works you could wind it round a long carbon fishing rod.
Otherwise try the rigging, perhaps with one insulator at top end first.
