marine moisture meter

I want to monitor the drying progress of an area of deck that I am trying to get dry. Does anyone know where I can get a reasonably priced monitor for GRP ?

Try calling your local floor covering outlet that does Vinyl flooring, any good one will use a moisture meter every day, some will hire them out, others will take a reading and charge a pretty small fee.

Not a cheap item to buy for a one off project and I'm a bit too far away to lend you mine.

A local company to me, no doubt also elsewhere ,will hire you a Tramex for £35 per day, you probably only need it three times over a ten to twelve week period; as against buying one for about £300.

I found several such companies and some would mail it to you, but unable to recall names etc. now.If you get stuck let me know I'll have another look.

I should have said that the company was in the building trade, hiring out surveyor's equipment which is exactly the same product as marine surveyors use
