Recieved my bits from Marine Mega Store this afternoon after 2 month and 4 phone calls. wont be ordering anything else from them, but i did get the things i ordered in the end /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I was re-fitting my new (old!) boat, almost from scratch and hoping for some discount on >£3K of items. They didn't even bother to reply. I eventually gave up trying to make any useful contact and went elsewhere.
They must have hordes of people knocking down their doors with red hot amex cards or something. Disappointing experience all round.
Small outfits can be surprisingly good value- especially if you actually talk to them and ask nicely for discount ;-))

I believe that if you search the forum you will find that they are a couple of blokes in an office , with a lot of catalogues and no apparent stock at all.
Bit like a dropship scenario.

Have similar experience. Recieved goods yesterday after five weeks delay.

Wouldn't have minded so much except they lied to me on three occasions by telling me the items had been despatched. What's more, they had taken the money on the day of the order.

I do understand that it is difficult to keep a myriad of items in stock at all times, and indeed Marine Mega Store aren't alone in this regard, but I wish they could be honest with customers.

I had an unpleasant experience with them when they refused to honour their initial order discount promise. Trading standards agreed with me that they were in the wrong but werent prepared to go any further than telling them off. The money involved was trivial but I've never bought from them since that time and never will.

I use Seamarknunn if I can. Never had a problem.

No association apart from being a satisfied customer.

Good to know, was about to order a few hundred quids' worth of stuff from them, will look elsewhere.

Not sure where, tho, as I've just had problems with Force 4 screwing up an order - they've been very nice about it, but we still haven't got anything six weeks later, despite two promises of delivery.

Maybe will try this Seamarknunn lot, thanks for the tip.

As a very satisfied customer who has used Seamarknunn for over 20 years I also recommend them. If you give them a list of bits you want they will sort out their best price for you.

I had exactly the same experience with Marine Megastore.
I find Seamark Nunn to be excellent (although ask for Simon if you need advice or something a little bit out of the ordinary) or Marinestore Maldon.
