Marine Mega Store arises again?

I had substantial problems with Marine Mega Store a few years ago - they sent the wrong inflatable dinghy and didn't want to know that I didn't want that one. Others had similar problems. I have just bought some small parts from an online company called 'The Captain's Locker, PA Lynch Ltd.' I notice that the latter company has the same address and postcode as Marine Mega Store used to have.

Careful, they have similar addresses but I believe they were not the same company...

I have no knowledge of ownership issues. However, my experience would lead me to being careful with orders rather than careful about potential confusion with an unrelated company.

It seems from previous complaints that James Bell was a director of Marine Megastore. He was also a director of other companies with similar complaints, one of which was Medline Marine Distribution, as can be seen here...

If you Google "medline marine distribution" it shows a location on Coopies Way in Morpeth which is now a branch of ATS...

P.A.Lynch is also on the same road, Coopies Way, but not at the same location. I have visited their shop in the past and can confirm it's a genuine bricks and mortar chandlery with stock. I have also bought stuff online from them without problem. I think they suffer the misfortune of being on the same road as the problem companies but other than that there doesn't seem to be any connection. The directors of P.A.Lynch are all Lynches...

The original "P.A." in P.A.Lynch, Patrica Anne, was director until she was 91 years old. That's not bad going, and is probably a good sign of a stable company. I expect she stopped working on the tills a few years previously
