Does anyone have experience of a good mobile marine sanitation specialist?. I would like one to give my loo installation a look over prior to relaunch. I have one electric and one manual loo. When I bought the boat and had it delivered to my East Coast Marina it arrived complete with a full holding tank!. I would like this pumped out as well before launch BUT I have been unable to find any mobile pump out service available, of course you may know different.... Not a pleasant topic but SO ESSENTIAL for the comfort of all on board

It might have helped if you said which marina as the east coast goes all the way from Fraserburgh to Saffend!!! Can your marina not help over this matter???

I think he's probably got a holding tank that only has a deck pump out facility and no thru hull discharge otherwise he could just empty it into a container whilst on the hard

Hi,
Yes Crouch based in regard to where on the East coast. Talked to marina who got a firm in who were equipped to pump out ships not leasure craft!, after that they lost interest and did a lot of shrugging/arm waving. The craft has had a holding tank fitted from new, there is a manual whale pump in the heads which according to the (Nimbus) manual empties the holding tank. At a later date, an electric toilet with a macerator has been fitted discharging to the holding tank. The skin fittings for discharge are in place under the boat and there are also a set of deck fittings for discharge wash through and venting. I am a little wary of putting the boat back into the water without testing out either/both systems, not wanting to find a big problem that either puts me back onto the hard or covers me in shh...hant be a minute. I would also like to do my bit with not polluting the environment more than necessary.
