I've used this stuff a number of times for fixing a transducer inside a plastic kayak, http://www.eclecticproducts.com/marine.htm
It's a very harsh environment, swilling around in sea water and hot/cold temps.

I'm putting together a switch panel and, rather than going out and buying some expensive epoxy - would this amazing "goop" do? :D

Edit - I should say I'm sticking together mahogany and will re-enforce with ss screws..it's just by the companionway and will probably get splashed with water quite a bit

If you are gluing wood and want a permanent joint, use an adhesive designed for the job. You don't need epoxy for simple jobs like this. A polyurethane adhesive such as Pur Glue will be suitable. Single part, moisture curing, non structural gap filling and waterproof. Other brands of the same type available in small bottles.
