Marine equipment forum?

Hi

Does anybody know if there is a marine equipment forum anywhere? Somewhere that you can find out what people think of their autopilot, log, wind instruments etc.

generally if you post on here you will get a response from users.
If they are motorboat instruments then post on mobochat, yacht specific then scuttlebutt may have more reaction but just putting them here will kick things off.
Putting them on all 3 will **** people off..........

You could also try searching these forums on the specific instruments too for past comment

I dont think you should condemn all Silva products because of a bad experience with their radios. I have the Silva Data set instruments, and have been very pleased with them. They are right at the budget end, but performance has been much higher than that.

i metioned silva as the depth transducer costs more that a cilpper full depth kit i will use my log log but a British depth! much better

I know a person who has had Silva instrumnents fitted for over 25 years. Excellent performance, however teh compass has surface screen cracking which makes viewing a little difficult, but not so bad. Can not comment on the equipment that they are producing today though. 25 years from any supplier has to be good!
