Anyone know a good independent (non-main agent) engineer in the Gosport area who can perform proper diagnostic and possible repair of a Volvo engine with low compression (without just recommending an £8000 rebuild...)?

You could try a plant hire place or a engine reconditioner - no need to go to a vulva dealer or agent.

What engine do you have Jammy? Has it already been diagnosed as low comp or is it a guess? How many cyls affected?
