If you learn to do it yourself, you will

a. learn something new

b. know where to look if something goes wrong at sea.


There are lots of people on here who will talk you through the whole process. Not to sound like a right git, but work this simple is the least you should be able to do before going to sea. I will probably get shot for that, but it is, IMO akin to not being able to tie a knot and owning a boat. sorry..
