There has just been an interesting item on 'Look East' regarding two (professional) fishermen fishing the Wash who were accused of fishing on a 'restricted sandbank', the judge, sensibly, threw the case out saying there was 'insufficient evidence'. This brought to light NETGAIN www.netgainmcz.org which is tasked with 'recommending' which areas will become MCZ's. by 2011. Reading the officialese on this site I would suggest that a suitable 'weather eye' be kept on this site, otherwise restrictions may be slipped 'under the wire' which may affect leisure boating. I think that most people recognise the need to conserve, BUT I also think leisure boaters need to ensure that they do not end up with ridiculous restrictions imposed by default. Any views?
