Marina's Near Malaga in August

Hello all,

We have decided to leave sunny Greece and are making our way over to Gib before going down to the Canaries.

I need to leave the boat for a week at the end of August somewhere near Malaga that is not going to break the bank.

Any suggestions welcome.

We are a Cat, 44ft long and 22ft wide

Summer prices on the gib side of Malaga aren't going to be catamaran friendly. Benelmadena is nearest this side. You may get a berth in La Bajadilla in Marbella.

If you are flying to UK then Alcaidesa in La Linea has deals for cats and is five minutes walk from airport across in Gib.

Caleta de mar may be an option but if you're needing airport then quite a jaunt to Malaga. Fuengirola, easy access to airport but maybe pricey. Have seen people anchoring outside fuengi for days on end - but assume you're leaving boat so not an option.

Almerimar is competitively priced, big enough to have space, and near an airport.

Second Almerimar. Or, the RCNA in Alicante is almost half the price of Alicante Marina we are booked in there for August.

Try Valencia or burriananova which is just north of Valencia but good prices and airport at hand
