hello:
My wife and I are trying locate a reasonably priced Marina to leave our sailboat for 1 month in mid July 2012 while we return to Canada.
Can anyone suggest a good spot on either the East or west coasts of the Adriatic?
Thanks
for your help
Kind regards

I don't know about reasonably priced as I can't judge what people consider a marina price should be. I can recommend Kremik Marina in Croatia for safety and good boat care by the staff - as well as near the cheap flight airport of Split. However given cruising permit costs etc it's probably only worth it if you are planning to cruise Croatia before or after you return to Canada.

You'll find the cheapest marinas in the Adriatic are in Monfalcone, just to the west of Trieste. Safe and with good services too. Airport ten minutes away. Shouldn't be a problem finding a berth in the summer. Try Nautec, Ocean, Hannibal, Cadei. Nautec is run by an Austrian (Karl) who may well speak English. PM me if phone numbers needed.

Your best bet is up N of Venezia in Monfalcone.

Most marinas in Italy and those on Croatia are excessively expensive.

In answer to Metabarca - Karl does speak English and two others in Nautec also understand it.

I enjoyed Gorizia and would recommend it to anyone.
