Marina survey

I was emailed this survey about marinas by my cruising group so i thought i'd share it on here (I hope that's ok!)

q8 it asked for 5 answers, I gave 9, refused to accept I had given more than 5. Bombed out and couldn't progress. Confidence inspiring.

If it asks for up to 5 answers, why would you not expect it to fail if you supply 9?

i mis-read I thought it wanted 5 minimum.

I answered it but it was pretty shallow. They also did not ask where I boated - which is the med and they seem UK based?

I want decent priced diesel, marineros to take the lines, 64 amp power , speed limits enforced so I dont get woken at 4 am, convenient rubbish bins, no hassle booking- preferably on line and a swimming pool.

None of this is on their list so they dont really seem in tune with my needs!

That has to be one of the most rubbish surveys I've ever seen. Clearly no planning has gone into the questions or the structure of it.

None of this is on their list so they dont really seem in tune with my needs!

At the prices some of you Med folks pay, they should also include freshly brewed morning coffee, evening cocktails and canapés

SAN Antonio yacht club do include a welcome drink.

I am not sure the Solent is much cheaper and as far as I know they don’t take your lines , don’t have a pool and the catering consists of a cafe ( maybe )!

Checking in at San Antonio is a pleasurable experience in other ways :encouragement:

+1 to all that. Also decent bogs / showers / laundry facilities, bars and restaurants within a short staggering distance and steps for those who are too tight to buy a pasarelle.

Fair enough then, I can definitely see the attraction of the Med, and if similar to home, an easy decision.
