marina,s positioned on beaches

does anyone know of any marinas that have been recently built on what you would effectivly call the beach up a small estuary i do hope i have given enough information for you to be able to help me by recent i mean in the last ten years thanks all kieron

Sovereign Harbour at Eastbourne is in a sort of hole in the beach. Not in an estuary as well, though.

Bembridge has beach all round (or most of) and a river flows in at the top of the harbour.

Ryde with out an estuary. and beach to only one side

Want to narrow the geography a bit?

Kip Marina, has a river flowing through in on the Clyde Estaury was an excavation - but many years ago. similar for Largs.

Campbeltown is under 10 at the top of the loch and with a small stream nearby... I could go on....

Conwy and deganwy marinas both built in conwy estuary utilising tunnel casting basin and old dock respectively. Not sure whether you would say they are on a beach although both surrounded by beach either side. Please let us know why you're asking!
