My first post here, hooraay!
We are heading south towards the Netherlands with our 34 ft sailboat, where we plan to put it on land over winter. In spring we want to do some repairs (removing teak deck) and further equip the vessel for continued sailing towards, ehm, New Zealand.. or the Caribbean.. or maybe just the Mediterranean..
We figured the Netherlands would be a nice, english speaking, maritime nation good for servicing our needs. I.e. demasting, hauling, indoor storage, shops, experienced boaters around to ask for advice and possibly also companies that could assist us.
In lack of Dutch friends, I turn to my now fellow ybw-ers, which marinas would be good to look into? Which are the bigger ones where we can find everything we might need in one place? Is it common that the marinas will let you work on the boats indoors or will they keep the storage locked?
