We'll be trundling around the south coast next month and looking for somewhere to stay with easy access for a couple of days in the Solent area.
Any recommendations?
The boat is a Fairline 43 Sedan (46 ft )
Thanks.

Island Harbour is very nice, East Cowes quieter than West.....Bembridge during the week....Haslar very good as well, we were there last weekend..

BB is right...avoid anywhere on the Medina during the Festival...got caught out once at Shepards Wharf not realising what weekend it was.....nightmare.......

Thanks for all the replies, after looking at the suggestions I think Island Harbour will do us nicely.
Thanks again.

The eatery there is ok, not my kind of place. Bit lifeless.

A nice walk to Whippingham Church where you can see Uffa Fox grave.

Walk into Newport, there's a fancy Michelin star restaurant, Thompsons but Scarrots Lane bakery is better for sticky buns etc.

You're only a couple of miles from Osborne House, English Heritage, if not members its quite expensive, but nice restaurant and nice down at the beach. Lovely Grounds.

See the mahoosive building on the opposite bank, that'll be me working in there, gis a wave.

Northney is very tranquil if that is really what you are after. Chichester harbour is v. pretty and quiet once away from the main thoroughfare. If the weather is good then I would give that a serious consideration.
Lymington is fine..but the town is 200 metres away..that is plus and minus depending !
