Thanks to everyone for the kind messages of goodwill.

Marc is still awaiting news on whether an op is needed - hopefully we will find out today that he doesn't need it. Being in hospital is grim at anytime, but the heat this weekend made it worse than it might have been. Very uncomfortable.

He can't move and is totally bed-bound. Can't even have a full bed bath because they can't move him at the moment.

I am completely stressed out by it all on top of the other events from the past few weeks, let alone over the past year or so.

Anyway - Marc has given his blessing for me to come to the pirate weekend anyway as I clearly need a bit of jollification. Taran hasn't decided if he wanst to go without his dad but, weather dependent, I will come with crew of piratesses and see you there by Sat lunchtime ish. I will need help picking up other friend and mini pirate from Titchmarsh. Might even need help securing anchor as I have never done it without Marc or Mike before. Hope to see you then.

Thanks again

An excellent display of spirit, and a generous gesture from Marc. Depart will be around 0400 on Saturday morning......

Plenty around to assist with all the other stuff.
Did you still want my Honda 2.3?

Thanks JIm

Clive has offered to ferry friends from Titchmarsh, so I won't need the outboard. It was only if I had to zip up there in the dinghy that I needed something more reliable.

I am not a fan of anchoring - never sleep well! If there is a spare mooring in the vicinity I will probably use that as an alternative.

Good point, perhaps with my current stress levels I'd be better of picking up a mooring and having less to worry about. In which, I might need the outboard after all as I think the moorings are a bit up the river...??

Excellent news Lisa.... and I think a wise decision for both of you... a break from stress is a good thing!

There will be no shortage of helping hands should you need them.... either myself, or I am sure many others, would gladly offer a temporary alongside, and then onboard assistance in getting the hook down or picking up a buoy if needed.

Just shout if you need a hand!

Cheers Dudes. Plans might change again yet as one of my piratesses has just dropped out due to ill health so am just awaiting cofirmation from the other, otherwise will be looking for crew again!

News on Marc: No op needed :) great news and will hopefully be moved to our local hospital within next 2 days. His parents came over from Wales last Friday and went home ysterday, but his dad is coming back on THursday to be around for him while i'm away. I'm hoping there is more air in the Darent Valley hospital. Where he is at the moment has building works so all the windows are taped up with black polythene to stop the dust. V grim.
