Just got a new Maptech chart CD and noticed that the free plotter software has changed to "Chart Navigator". Ive used Offshore Navigator Offshore for a few years and have been quite happy with it however the new version does appear to have some nice improvements.
Has anyone upgraded from Offshore Navigator to Chart Navigator Pro ? and if so how do they compare.
Thx
Steve

Yes, CNP is a far superior product with AIS suppport, chart quilting etc. Now I gather they've reduced the cost of the charts to £95 for the whole of the UK it looks like a very good buy. Doesn't help me much having paid out quite a lot of money on Maptech charts over recent years (in fact it p's me off somewhat) but that doesn't detract from the fact that CNP is a nice product!

The charts are indeed |£95, I have the them loaded on this same laptop. However they come with a free version of Offshore Navigator Lite. If you want CNP, I think you still have to buy it - like what I did for 200+ quid last year !!

definitely worth it, if you want to use the AIS facility.

Yep, me too. Spent a small fortune on maptech charts. Makes me feel like avoiding them in the future. Such massive discounting can surely only be seen as major profiteering in previous years, or am i just sounding sour ?
