"Modified sine wave" Ooooh, cheap and nasty - get a pure sine wave for sensitive electronice like flat screen tvs etc - modified ok for lamps etc.

yup I've got one for cellphone and laptop charging. Works a charm and has for about 5 years too. may not be pure sine but it does the job just fine.

Better still, get a 12V TV.
Most modern electronics will cope fine with modified sine, provided there are not too many spikes or surges.
Old type TV is likely to be more sensitive.
Look for products that are 'universal input' , often spec'd 90 to 240V AC in.

I have a similar one but from Ebay, about the same price. Charges laptop, iPad, razor, trimmer, movie camera, no problems at all.

Got the same one from Maplin about 4 years ago.

Like Vyv's, does all I ask from it, including 12v TV, that I run from the inverter to give it a more stable supply. Just used it for the Dremmel.
