Pictures of Manyana as requested, sorry for delay but had to find some of her before she became encased in the framework. She's a a 1953 27Ft motor vessel in bad need of some TLC. Currently in my driveway being stripped of paint to find all the damaged planks.

Nice looking boat. Good luck with her restoration.

I agree, very nice lines. It's a shame that some people let things go like that innit. There was a twonk round here a while back that had a really nice (well could have been) cutter, about 1920 summat vintage, he had neither the skills, nor the inclination it seemed to me, to keep her properly, but he wouldn't sell her, well not until she was nearly a total write off!.......truckin idiot!

Anyway, sorry about the wee rant, good luck with her restoration /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It looks as though a previous owner has had a botched repair done, those two plank buts on one frame. Baaaad news.

You're right and its the same on the other side, thought you ain't seen the worst of the botched repairs to the planks and these under the waterline. It's amazing what a good coat of paint and some filler hides. Need to change about a dozen planks of various lengths including those pictured, however only 4 are under the waterline, so fairly confident I can manage if I take my time and practice on the ones above the waterline first.
