sorry this is probably so blindingly obvious.
My outboard (2016 Mercury9.9 EL) is off the boat on a stand in the garage for the winter and therefore disconnected from the control box.
I want to start it on muffs to give it a run through Do I just connect the +/- to the battery, pump the fuel and pull the recoil starter? What about choke = it is electric operated from the key.
The manual is not much help and any references to manual start I can find - ie flat battery state "ensure the key is in the on postion"
Any help appreciated
Thanks
