Mantsbrite - Anyone have recent dealings?

All will be revealed - eventually - but very dissatisfied. Have used them in the past. Recently a recon GPS was sent to us at not an inconsiderable cost. It's total c**p should have been placed in the bin. Have sent photos and email but have heard nothing so far. How do we go about reclaiming on our c/card?

[/ QUOTE ]Report it to your card provider immediately as a "disputed transaction". Write to Mantsbrite, rejecting the GPS, asking for a total refund, and returning the GPS (obviously by recorded delivery). Tell them you've reported it as a disputed transaction.

Mantsbrite supplied and fitted a Raymarine plotter for me and a GPS mushroom. They also did an emergency repair on a wind instrument in pretty quick time. Always good service although not the cheapest. Work was to an acceptable standard always.

They recently repaired (mechanical) a tiller pilot which was just within warranty then a few months later did a repair due to water ingress, which, to their credit, was done under warranty even though the warranty had by then expired, albeit the ingress could have been caused by poor re-sealing after the first repair. I have suffered though at the hands of the young chaps that answer the phones who dont seem to be as clued up as perhaps they should be. Neutral vote from me.
