Just done an early lift out ready for an early start this season.
Hull was re-epoxied last spring and I was glad to see looks fine.
When she went in late last year the annodes were pitted and discoloured but still with plenty of 'meat' on them so we thought they would be ok for their short season.
This time out they are much the same but more discoloured ( mucky brown) does this just mean that there has been little electrical activity or are they not working? ( prop etc look fine)
Before she goes back in should I 'clean' them so there is shiny metal exposed? change them? or just leave them?
Thanks

Yes I think I'd clean them. Wire brushes though can leave bits of ( steel) wire embedded in them.

I think I would also check the internal bonding between them and whatever they are fitted to protect.
What you describe suggests they may not be properly connected.
Remember if they are to protect a prop and are connected to the gearbox casing or engine block the flexible coupling in the prop shaft must be bridged.
