ah, only an average of 311.11111 miles per day. Easy; he'll do it just sitting below and watching the auteaupilot (Registered Trade Name :) ). How can he keep concentrating at that level for so long ?

It does make me wonder exactly how many others doing the same thing for the same reason attempt to dress it up for "cheritee", getting as much coporate sponsorship offset as they can to make themselves feel better, or at any rate, less guilt-wracked about what is, TBH, a jolly. Not all, but definitely some. Call me cynical, everyone else does.:D I just have to admire his blatant and comedic honesty.:D:D I personally admire the ones who pay for everything themselves and ask you to send the money direct to the charity, no sponsorship, all their own cash..........'cos in my humble opinion, that IS how it should be done.
Of course, if someone out there wants to sponsor a 52 y.o. autistic sailing novice to go 'round UK for a good cause, well..............:D

I'll get me coat.:)

Will he be followed by "Family of 5 to Mobo Around the World to Disprove Climate Change"?

Father of Three, Phil, said "Well Dylan, I know the world is flat, but we figure that our triple Mercruiser powered riverboat will take us around the rim in comfort. With help from above of course". He continued "And you know, there are places around the edge that are cold, and if any ice has melted, it's His plan to make pretty waterfalls, so of course man haven't affected the planet in any way. We just have to make more children to show our love for Him".

I have to say that I feel pretty guilty about my own little sail around the UK. Even in my old N reg polo shuttling back and forth to the boat hoovers up a massive amount of fuel - and it will get worse as I work my way North.

The fuel "THE PRINCESS" uses is tiny compared to the car.

as for a KTL official charity ---- I am open to suggestions

last year I was sailing to raise money for the one that was paying Mr Fox's chum to benefit US/UK relations

another cracker is this one aimed at giving computer games to children

http://www.pixelequity.org/

I am looking for a gang of charity chuggers to work at the boat show on my behalf

becoming one is very cheap - enrolment is a mere £50 - and then you get to keep 80 per cent of whatever you raise

I have already bought 35 KTL tabards so if you want one please feel free to PM me

But chuggers (a personal pet hate, shudder) have to be extra pretty young things (no chance here) with big smiles (OK, admittedly as insincere as a climate sceptic's consideration for anything, but again no chance to find here).

Chuggers; cleaner than big issue sellers, more annoying than pitbulls.
