Maluti, former Uhuru or Rinansey, a gentleman\'s yacht by GL Watson

We recently bought Maluti, a twin screw prewar gentleman’s yacht. She has a upper wheel house, steel hull and is approximately 23 meters long.

Unfortunately, she is in a rather bad state.

We have little information on the history of this marvelous yacht. All we know - but are not sure - that she is Watson design built by George Brown & Company in Greenock launched in June 1938, under the name Uhuru or Rinansey.

We are interested to receive any kind of information and would like to know if any of her original plans/designs are preserved.

Why not get in touch with GL Watson themselves in Glasgow. They seem to have an archive departmnet so you might get some information there. Try this link

Tried that but still awaiting the response (since October). Curious as we are and also because we saw that on the forum has been spoken before about Maluti, we were hoping to find more information this way.
