Hello Everyone,
I am new to this posting thingy, we cruise in Mallorca
regularly but usually south and west coasts. Having a change this year and
going up to Cala D,or and Porto Cristo area,s. Can anyone tell me what
the marina,s at Cala D,or and more particularly Porto Cristo are like and
are they better / dearer than south and west coast marina,s .

Thank you

Hi BCD - somehow missed this post a few days ago so apologies for the slow response. Cala D'or marina and Porto Cristo are both very pleasant. Cala D'or is purpose built, well served by guardiennage and other boat support companies and surrounded by restaurants which form part of the marina infrastructure. Porto Cristo is smaller and more of a town harbour that has evolved over time into a smallish marina - still good facilities including lift out etc. Seems to me that all of the marinas around Mallorca are priced pretty similarly and Cala D'or is certainly on a par with the many Palma marinas, Soller and Pollenca...but cheaper than Andratx and certainly Portals!! Not sure about Porto Cristo prices but would assume they're about the same as Cala D'or, possibly a bit cheaper.

I'm a big fan of Mallorca's south east coast - masses of picture post card anchorages, a little less busy than other parts of the Balearics and not too built up!

Hope that helps.
