mallorca charter thanks

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on our first charter, it was huge success. So much so its going to be hard to sail the north east coast of England after this.

fab. Dya circumnavigate the island after all or what? Do tell.

No we did not circumnavigate, the deciding factor was alcohol and the younger crew having later nights than the older gadgies.
We only got as far as Porto cristo....... Palma nova 1st night (s**t hole but two of the crew enjoyed it as they did not return to the boat till 10am the next day /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif ) then we sailed back to Palma to get the heads unblocked (toilet paper).
Next was cala pi or to be more precise cala carbon, then onto cala d'or our first marina stop. We stayed there for two nights, we needed a rest after not getting to bed till 6am /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. Porto cristo was next followed by sant jordi and the final night was spent in Palma.
Still apart from cala d'or we spent the night in a different spot every time, we also anchored in different calas for a swim and lunch, all in all an excellent time was had by all

We kept our boat at Colonia St Jordi for a few years, a real part fo Mallorca. Loved it to bits. Glad you enjoyed your trip.

I spend a week every October in an appartment overlooking cala Dor marina.....a great spot at that time of the year as all the Brits ( not the Germans) have gone home and loads of great restaraunts around the marina to eat .

harumph, so all those questions about Cabrera and so on - and you knew everything you needed to know about majorca already!

think your confusing me with another forum member tcm, never had plans to do Cabrera, maybe next year /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
