RIP
On our brief trip today along the first part of the Canal du Midi, we decided to take down our little baby mast with the radar dome and light along with our radio antennae as we thought the bridge coming out of the round lock at Agde looked a bit low. As it turned out , we needn’t have bothered disconnecting the dome, it would have been OK just sat on the roof but we did and it was more involved than we thought as it means opening it up and unwiring (an 8 way internal plug and 2 x 2 wire power).
As I plan on coming back here and going further up later in the year, I think I want to make this simpler to do by adding a male/female connector pair about 30cm back from the head. Any suggestions for connectors?
Need to be waterproof, 12 ways, around 1.5A for the power pins, ideally with a blanking plug/cap available. Prefer crimp pins rather than solder.
The dome is a Raymarine HD218
