Makuni heater installation question

I am installing a Makuni MY30 heater, to replace an aged Eberspacher. I would like to locate the heater unit in the same place as the Eber, ie in the aft locker. The installation instructions state that the maximum permissible angle of inclination is 20 or 22 degrees (manual and diagram vary slightly) about the fore/aft axis (ie 'roll'). I can easily mount the panel horizontally, but the panel where the Eber was mounted is about 25 to 30 degrees from the vertical. Is there likely to be a problem if I just use the existing mounting panel, or do I need to comply exactly with the instructions?
