Making our way along the Morray Firth..

Obviously not there any more... set off quite early AM for the 60 NM journey...Pervailing swell from stern, with wind at 12 - 25 knots on bow. (WSW)
Passed "Perfect Lady" (Fairline Corniche which left Whitehills a bit earlier) in Spey Bay and after an eventless journey (got minor issues with SB engine not pulling full RPM), running at approx 1750 RPM we stopped the engines in Clachnaharry Sea Lock after 3 hrs 25 min after leaving Whitehills. Boat now in Muirtown basin where she will be until Thursday AM when we will start the vacation heading west.

No pic's... sorry, but will do so throuch Caledonian Canal and Scotlands West Coast and write uplater.

Good to see you on your way Alf, you made good progress from Whitehills!

Much other vessel movements around the Moray/Muirtown area going into the canal?

I think my user name has changed?

Not much movements ... but did not expect much as we had a NE F8 the night before..

Passed one MOBO and a couple of yachts further in past Findhorn Bay... joined a yacht in the Sea Lock who had come down from the Orkneys overnight... also about 5 other vessels on their way out the Morry Firth, so assume they head towards Orkneys/Shetland or eastwards. There are some Scandinavians in Seaport Marina, who may be heading back home...

That was weird when I first saw the only other Seaport Marina (other than home) a few years ago in Inverness!

I may have seen the big Denmark flagged ketch in the new marina in Inverness a few weeks ago.

Hope the weather is on your side for the rest of your cruise Alf,

Cheers

Callum

Keep up the posts Alf, and sorry I couldn't make it, it would have been a great trip.
Remember and post all the pics too.

Hope all goes well and you have a great summers holiday.

Cheers

Al.
