hi all, I would like to convert to two additional berths at the stern under canopy.. they are kind of 3 qtr length seats with gap with seats installed at helm then a foot board, I want to bridge the gap in some way (ideas) or maybe cut down seat pole and attach higher on new bridge section... if I bridge the gap then by my reckoning I get two new under storage cubby holes.. ;o) pic attached (hopefully)
cheers all.

As I see it from the pics, the only way you can do this is to have the helm and co-pilot seats fixed to the cockpit wall on hinges that would allow the seats to be folded out the way. It would mean, however, that when in use the occupants of the seats would be using the bunks/berths as footrests.

hi, thanks for idea, well my idea was maybe cut round or cut the seat poles down to position on the berths.. (legs will have to find a spot around post!) ;o) reckon that would be easiest... but obviously agree freeing up all berth space would be ideal... on my old boat it was bracketed to 'galley wall' (?) and so the fixings were out of the way. it may be something simple as putting length of wood as a temperary bridging unit, that would slot under seating cushion, when additional berths required.. ?
A few ways of doing, some permanent, so temp, some more practical than others  cheers

hmmm food for thought... food for thought! dependant on width of galley to the existing cushion width.. i could have bridging unit stored under cushion and construct a wooden recess across the galley for it sit on in traditional bridging fashion used in gap of 'V' berth... good idea thanks....

... although looking at pic ive just attached.. hopefully battery isolator switch is low enough to do so.. ?

while i'm on with it.. and i know i may have discussed this a bit before.. but obsessed with re-covering and uniform covering the helm/co seats and cushions... (as I would need an additional) I cant afford/dont want to pay for the professional covers made.. how hard is it to recover these things oneself (slightly off and not ignoring original topic) ;)
