Making a laminated tiller

I asked a few weeks ago about making a laminated tiller. The one it is to replace is teak, but it's a silly price to buy and I couldn't find anyone willing to cut it up into 4mm thick strips, so I went with Iroko instead. Even that cost £100 to buy the wood and have it machined into strips. I then got gluing using West epoxy. Here's the nearly finished result, still got some more varnishing to do...

Even though all the strips came from the same block of wood there's remarkable variation in colour for one chunk of wood, so I used it to create some pretty stripes...

The timber came from Poppy Hill Wood, who were very helpful in meeting my requirements...
