Unless my "Wanted" ad comes up trumps I want to make a drum washer - I found out why one winch makes a screechy noise - there was no drum washer! I'm not paying £21 for a service kit to get a lot of other bits I don't want.

It needs to allow the rollers bearings to skid on it - nylon perhaps one of those large washers that go under taps (I have the exact measurements to cut it to). What else would be suitable?

Thanks - I can't reply as you are not accepting PM's!

The size is
1.5mm thick (I don't think this is crucial and it was difficult to measure accurately with my calipers)
46mm i.d.
74mm o.d.

EDITED - decimal place moved!! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Ooooops sorry, I am now /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't think I have any 3" (75mm) bar stock at present, but if you want me to do it, I will see if I can get some?

PM me and let me know.

PTFE sheet 1mm ebay item 120394668429 £1.20+90p p+p.
I must have a use for this?
He also has 0.5mm if the thickness matters that much?
cut it with one of those compass thingies perhaps.
A lot easier than parting off bar stock?
