I am in the process of refurbishing a Avon dinghy and would like to make a slatted floor for it similar to the one in the photo made from strips of ply interwoven with some kind of plastic material. The question is this what kind of plastic ABS, PVC, Hypalon or what suggestions/ideas welcome. Does anyone know where I may be able to source some at a reasonable cost?

Pretty sure that mine, for an Avon Redcrest, is PVC. If you are making one, I would think that the material for curtain-sider lorries would be fine. Failing that, any reasonably heavy, i.e. tough PVC. You could even dispense with the PVC, and just use straps made out of something like seat belt material.
