Major update: Winter could be on the way next week 20/1/12

If the winter spends much more time coming we'll be in Spring!

I was listening to R3 yesterday when listener texted in to say "There's a thing, wintery weather forecast for Scotland on 19th Jan."

Not from me! I'be been predicting a change after mid January, then colder from the end of the month to early/mid Feb....

Loads of 'crystal ballers' out there who kept saying Big Freeze to get on the front pages of some newspapers

It's this time every year!!! Why oh why do people think November/December is Winter? They are very rarely as cold as February which is the real cold month. Similarly, June/July are not really summery but rather August/September

Also, April is a good time to be on the water before the bad weather starts in May

Not last year matey, Nov/Dec/Jan v cold Feb warmed up, March/April hot June/July/August/Sept cold, Oct/Nov warm.
