Major problem! What to wear to a Fancy Dress Convoy Cruise!!

Perhaps a little more lighthearted than my other posts.....

I've got a Convoy Cruise coming up as a Social event at my Marina.

We do a circa 52 mile round trip from Cameron House on Loch Lomond up to Ardlui and back.

My fancy dress attire has been quite creative over the last few years but this time I'm a bit stumped for ideas for me and the Admiral.

I was thinking of going as some Fisherman in sowesters etc, or as Captain Birdseye; but I'm not convinced that that is going to win me any prizes.

So, have you any outstanding suggestions for a middle age couple (so don't do "go as a Seaman and a Mermaid" - one of us (no names given) will not fit into that type of outfit).

Any thoughts, or even better, example pics??

Get the convoy cruise but not the dressing up. My youngsters say ' so last year' perhaps we are starting to converge at last. If you have to ask for ideas perhaps its run it's course and they are right and a theme change is called for. Thats helped hasn't it ?!

Get the Admiral to go as Nelson then if you get too close to anything you can always claim you ".....saw no ships...."

You, of course, could go as Hardy.......... I don't know you from Adam but I'm assuming the Admiral wouldn't mind being kissed!
