Maintenance & Repair Manual for Volvo Pentas

I have heard that maintenance and repair manuals for Volvo Pentas may be found on the Web. Despite extensive searches I have not been able to find one for a Volvo MD 2040. Can anyone help?

I have a md2030 on my boat but a nameplate on the engine identifies the engine as a Perkins ???? - don't know the model for now. If you look on your engine block you will see the plate. I am interested if you can find a maint.manual on line.

I have a 2030 and am the proud! owner of a Volvo workshop manual - which is not very good - tells you how to do the tappets, change the themostat, the impeller, cleaning the heat exchanger, removing the injectors and bits like that. It is not a Haynes type manual.

The 2030 is a Perkins basic engine finished off by Volvo. I know its unfashionable to like Volvo's but it quiet, smooth, delivers the power I want and I like it.

Sorry should have added that the manual covers the 2010, 2020, 2030 and 2040. Covers the Sail drive as well. Got it from Volspec. 59 pages
