OK, do this is probably a silly question, but here goes.

My Bav 32 has a Selden mast with single line reefing on the mainsail. The mainsail sliders go up the track, and there is a sort of 'gate' arrangement on the track just above the stacked sail, which is where I assume you can remove the sail for winter storage, cleaning etc. Question is how do you get the sliders to come out of the track? The two prongs on the 'gate' seem to be spring loaded and can be pushed backwards, but not enough to allow the sliders to come out of the track.

So what am I missing? Probably something quite elementary? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Be carefull, I thought I would take the track cars off and give them a good clean. I spent the next two hours trying to find the little brown plastic balls. They are not captive (in my case) My mast also selden. To get the sail off I lifted a small clip which allowed the button to pull out of the car. I am told hot water is best in situ!!

I have the same on my Bav 36.
The track gate will push back and up against a rubber stopper that holds it in place. Once you push it hard enough it rides up over the rubber and either locks in place or pops out of the track completely. Easy to replace if it does this and makes getting the sliders in and out even easier.
Best thing to use to push it back with is a large flat headed screwdriver.
