Mailspeed Warrington Closed?

On trying to visit Mailspeed Warrington today, I was surprised to discover that its closed, does anyone know if this is a permanent thing?, the website says its temporary, but doesn’t give a date for it reopening.

I knew they had been reducing their branches, but is this the end for them

I hope not as I just ordered a heap of stuff off their website yesterday.

I'm sure there'll be some better informed along soon but in the meantime....
I thought all their shops had closed and were now only web based. This may have been as early as January.
The shops in Burnham and Essex marina have both gone.

Gosh, I was there last wednesday also to collect my mail ordered parts to save the p&p (I drive past on way home). Lets hope it is temporary as it's been a really useful shop over the years and mail order is all very well but sometimes it's good to 'see' the equipment.

I've just been pasted a response from Mailspeed Customer Services, saying....

The Warrington shop has been closed and will cease to trade as a Mailspeed Marine outlet. We are currently investigating potential contacts for a take over so that a chandlery shop from a different brand might be opened in its place. I'm afraid we do not have any more information at this stage. We should have an update within a few weeks which we'll post on our website.

Given the current economy, I can't see anyone being willing to take it on , did their other stores get taken over by anyone?
