Apparently all the shop staff were made redundant yesterday.

The mail order side is not affected.

I suppose it is a case of use them or lose them. Shame for the staff. Let's hope that Marinestore and other local places will keep going. Barry at Dauntless seemed quite chipper this morning.

Many thanks for the info. Sorry to see that happen for both us and the staff.

It's the way things are going now I suppose. Having to keep a shop open for 7 days as opposed to 5 for Mail Order is probably something to do with it.

Keeping open on a Saturday and Sunday for a packet of screws and a Mars Bar is probably not on now.

Does this mean Wallasea and Burnham?

I only collected my plunder from the boat show this week. Maybe I was lucky?

Just to say, ordered over the internet Wes, Friday UPS confirms its on its way, so pretty quick in my instance

Ordered (cheapest on Internet) Rutland 913 mounting kit on Tuesday, it turned up yesterday afternoon.

So, their mail order is working well.

Not trying to upset you but do you remember this thread by Pasta_simon?

He got a pole for £45.00:eek:

I tired, but couldn't easily get the 1 5/8th Diameter at 16SWG or 45mm Diameter with 2mm wall.
When I got a sort of price it was nearly 80 quid without the bottom fixing bracket or the aluminium turned joiner piece, or the fixing bolts.

You know me, I am close with a buck, but I was spending hours trying to do it, and got bored. After all, I get a £50 rebate by selling my old 503 mounting kit.
