Probably the most well attended private boat gathering in the South or anywhere else ,is in danger of losing its organisers,with the possiblity of the festival fizzling out altogther.
Rumours that the very small band of stalwarts who spend their time (and money in more than one case) arranging the annual event are becoming fed up with the time and energy being spent on satisfying Maidstone Councils ever increasing paperwork demands.
The council needs to get its arse in gear as to if it actually wants this event,which is almost certainly the biggest attraction in terms of people during the year to continue.
Make your mind up Maidstone Council and if you think you can do better,well lets see the colour of your money,if not then get out of the way and let the old organisers get on with doing what they have been doing for the previous 30 years.
