Local builder has stumped up some cash......on 27th July 2019.
Perhaps the EA could do bit of a discount at Allington lock and MBC make sure that folks have some decent rings/pins to moor to.
Entire length of town centre riverbank has been renovated with much improved lighting , be nice to see it used.
Ooo ...and EA, somebody nip up there and remove all the trolleys and other propeller mangling hidden junk on the riverbed before July please.

That's a bit of a double edged sword.......... "its lovely up there with the improvements, perhaps the EA can give a discount like they used to but don't everyone forget the industrial revolution is in full swing in Maidstone and your boat will surely sink as the River is polluted like a 1970's disused canal....."

The river was drained in about 1990 and all the trolleys and sunk boat was removed. Maidstone no longer has the supermarkets in the town like in the 80's that gave rise to the trolley issue.

It's going to take a few years to get the festival back up to swing and it should be promoted at every turn. There is not much that happens for us on the river so this really should be made the most of..

Err....you might what to have natter with " Murv" of this parish about that. We did eventually remove a fair chunk of trolley from his propshaft on our return to RCC and a session on the club drying blocks, after mooring on the refurbed riverbank last year.
The trolley did destroy his rope cutter very efficiently with virtually nothing of it remaining.
Downside was Allington Marina demanding the thick end of £500 quid for a lift and hold.We declined.

100%
Be nice if the council properly got involved again. :)
