MAIB Roasted

Re: MAIB Roasted over \'dodgy dossier\'

£600: someone went down to a local sillysitter and asked how much for a couple of hour's work looking out a report.

Pity they question was asked in Central London rather than, say, Whitehaven, Ventnor or Wallsend, to guess at places with less pricey legal types.

Unless you're suggesting that we examine the excel spreadsheet and 1162 of us request further information on each individual "incident" ?

That was more or less what I had in mind, but start with the spreadsheet and see where it takes us. I sent the following to MAIB

Exercising my right under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I would like to request the following document which the Information Commissioner states on record that you already hold, namely:

The numerical log data held as an Excel spreadsheet

This was your numerical log on which subsequent statistics were published regarding leisure craft incidents in the 2005 MAIB Annual report

The document I require is referenced in the IOC Decision Notice FS50125936 dated 21 November 2006 in paragraph 19 under the heading of Chronology

The spreadsheet is documented as already existing, which is fortunate for all in terms of the cost limits under the FOI Act
