MAIB report

[ QUOTE ]
• There is little effective legislation in the UK to limit the consumption of alcohol when
operating leisure boats. The Tarbert Harbour Authority Bye-Laws did not include any
reference to the navigation of a vessel when under the influence of drink or drugs.[ QUOTE ]

i thought there were new rules about alcohol consumption?

not yet I think.

Some harbours do have specific booze related bylaws. Soton ( i think) does, Portsmouth not ( or not when my mate was very, very silly a few years ago ) .

worst that portsmth police cd do was a criminal damage charge, tho there was talk of the qhm demanding their costs in relation to the incident.

Ah! - the memories... the police, the lawyers, the money, the hassle - Happy Days.
