I see that the MAIB have updated their list of current investigations to include the ferry hitting the wall in Dover last Sunday, but it does not mention the accident in fog on The Medway. I assume that that means that they are not carrying out an investigation. Has anybody any thoughts as to why?

I'm sure when I looked when the accident was first reported (well within a few days) it WAS there...

I never saw it. They don't do a full investigation into all accidents, but I've seen them refer to the details of previous accidents in reports so presumably they do an initial investigation to get the basic details but don't necessarily publish anything.

This incident is reported in the December issue of Yachting Monthly. The article says that Hanson Heidelberg, owners of the dredger
Arco Ann, have reported the incident to the MAIP (sic). The article also states that Peel Ports, employers of the pilot on board at the time,
are investigating the incident.
