Could any one please let me know where it is possible to buy a small quantity of 12mm thick marine plywood faced with mahogany. Ideally a source in the south of England if possible.

You will find Robins very expensive. Do a search on www.yell.com for timber merchants or timber importers and find one in your area.

Try Silverman. They have a number of depots across Southern England. The Basildon No. is 01268591111.
I'm sitting here looking at a sample of marine ply just delivered.
Sample states : Bruynzeel marine plywood.
Species: Regina Mahogany.
Gluing: Bruynzeel "Exterior"
Thicknesses 4mm. to 40mm.
The edging looks good, no holes or gaps.

This stuff is wonderful but pricy. You get what you pay for.Finnishing is a doddle.
