Yes, a real shame. Magnus - an awesome sailor. It was strange hearing the news, yesterday. I was in Puerto Calero just over a week ago, looking over the SCA ladies team boat, for the next Volvo Ocean Race. We were talking about Magnus then, and remarking on his achievements and influence. He was there coaching the ladies team. I, also, remember seeing him in one of the bars in Puerto Calero, about two years ago. He was enjoying a yarn with the Puma Volvo crew: what a character. He looked as though he would be around for ever.
A huge loss in sailing.

I sailed with Magnus on "Swedish Match" after the Volvo Ocean Race in or around '96...
Extremely nice man, no question was too 'stupid' for him to answer.
